Component Design & Detailed Design

IHL currently undertakes the design of all the components and sub systems for Fan/compressor, Combustion Chamber, Turbine LPT & HPT, Intake/nozzle etc. Once proven the group makes detailed design (2D & 3D) and Digital Mockup using Catia, Unigraphics, Pro-E etc

Matching of Components

Extensive experience in aero engine and aero derivatives in detailed 2D & 3D component design and detailing using Unigraphics,Catia and Pro-E, proficiency in designing Class-2 Engineering changes, Weight /cost /manufacturability trade studies

Cycle analysis: parametric & off design performance analysis:

Performance and simulation analysis using In-house proprietary codes, engine test coverage, performance test data analysis of steady state and transient data, simulation of engine data, Prediction of engine behavior and field support

Prototype Manufacture & Testing

IHL with the support of Partners is in a position to carry out the prototype manufacture and testing of various components and sub assemblies.

Engine Layout:

IHL has the expertise to do the engine layout and look at interferences The group can do tolerance dimensioning and other related studies like layout design and component matching, clearance mapping, engine centreline control, mounts design, engine-aircraft interface design }

Structural Analysis

IHL can carry out finite element analysis 2D/3D FE Modeling - Meshing from CAD Models, Stress/Deflection Analysis, Linear and Non-Linear Analysis, Implicit/ Explicit Dynamic Analysis, Low Cycle and High Cycle Fatigue Analysis and Thermo mechanical fatigue.

Rotor Dynamic Analysis/Vibration and Noise Analysis:
